Will I have help?

Absolutely. Sydney Community College staff have experience in delivering mentoring programs, and will be available for you to contact during normal business hours at the College.

You are welcome to arrange a time to see us in person, or can email or phone the SMMP Program Coordinators on 8752 7525 or the Refugee Mentoring Project Coordinator on 8752 7533 to receive advice or information.

We have mentoring resources that you can access and will be posting mentoring information and links on this website on a regular basis.

In addition we may arrange group mentoring sessions in which you can meet with other mentors and mentees to discuss common issues or hear industry professionals offer advice.

Mentor Me

Mentor Me is an online training program that has been developed by Sydney Community College to help volunteer mentors in the Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program (SMMP) and the Refugee Mentoring Program (RMP).

Mentor Me training is divided into sections and contains a range of activities including short answers, case studies and online questionnaires. It can be done at any time of the day or night and at a time to suit you. It does not have to be completed in one session.

If you are a volunteer mentor with Sydney Community College and are interested in participating in Mentor Me, please contact your Program Coordinator to find out more.
