Grievance Principles
A grievance is a matter that causes a Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program (SMMP) participant concern or distress.
Sydney Community College recognises that bringing grievances to light is an important form of feedback in the Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program.
Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program and application
The Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program (SMMP) aims to support skilled migrants who are unable to find employment in their area of expertise because they face specific barriers.
Barriers may include:
- Lack of knowledge about Australian job seeking processes and workplaces
- Lack of recognition of overseas qualifications
- Lack of local work experience.
